This is just a little website to document anything I would like to share about my adventures in amateur radio.

About me

My name is Garth Almgren, and I have been a licensed amateur radio operator (ham) since October 16, 2017 and was granted the callsign KI7QON after I passed the Technician exam, and on October 20, 2017 I passed the General exam. I didn’t keep that callsign for long though: on November 3, 2017 I applied for and was granted the vanity callsign KA7BVS which I still hold today – more on that later.

A little more than one year later, on November 20, 2018, I took the exam for Amateur Extra and passed!

My QTH is the city of Sultan in the beautiful Skykomish (or “Sky”) Valley, Snohomish County, Washington.
